Spinal stenosis is a common diagnosis among patients with lower back pain. Laminectomy / decompression is the most common treatment for spinal stenosis and it can often result in the affected spinal segment being left unstable. Posterior instrument fixation does not create an optimal environment for fusion and minimally invasive posterior fixation may not allow for the placement of bone graft material.
The VerteLoc Posterolateral Fusion system uses a minimally invasive surgical technique and simple instrumentation to access, decorticate the facet joints, and place the implants.
